When you think of art supplies you most likely think of those that children use. Let's face it though, art supplies for children are typically not considered “fine art supplies” because they are made for kids! Kids aren't known for their gentle treatment of things, so why would anyone make fine art supplies for them? If you are looking for art supplies specifically geared for adults and you want a higher-end supply, you most likely should be looking at an art supply store rather than at a national retail chain. Your best bet if you just aren't sure what the best supplies are is to ask someone who would know!
I am a begining oil painter. I was wondering what colors you suggest a beginer buy. I`ve heard students in my classes talking about how they use only a few "basic" colors, in which they can mix a large range of colors from. Do you have any tips?
