What are Oil Paints?
Oil paint is actually made up of ground pigments and oil, which is usually linseed, a poppy or walnut oil. Oil paints dry very slowly, which allows the artist to take his or her time on their piece of work. Oil paints also do not change color when they dry, which allows the painter to change or scrape the paint as needed when creating a piece of artwork.
